Grieved

Hitting something fierce with this one today 🫠‭‭

Psalms‬ ‭73:21‭-‬28‬ ‭NIV‬‬[21] When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, [22] I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you. [23] Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. [24] You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. [25] Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. [26] My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. [27] Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you. [28] But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. When your despair is at an all time low, and when you choose to turn toward Him instead of comforting yourself with bitterness, the truth is that the love and peace that comes from Him feels heavy, sticky, it’s hard to shake off, like honey. His comfort lasts longer and heals deeper. Joy creeps in with the smallest of things. It’s something I have never experienced before. Joy in the midst of pain. Woah. I encourage you to try it. Take the hard path to surrender. Instead of bitterly shaking your fist at the heavens and crying out with your perceived sense of entitlement, try crying out your desperation. He can handle it. Great power is released when we take our anguish and turn it into praise. It’s a cracking of bondage chains on your mind, in your spirit, in your physical body like you’ve never felt before. And it is life changing. If you want to know how to do this, feel free to reach out. Having tried both in life, I can pray for you and give you some tips. Hang in there, anywhere He takes you is better than you’ll know.
